a letter to John McCain

Dear Senator McCain,

I just wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to you for your selection of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. I’ll admit, my feelings regarding this choice have wavered a bit—first elated, then slightly concerned, but now I’m back to elated again. The more I see of Ms. Palin, the more assured I am that you’ve made a sound decision that will ultimately benefit the nation in ways I’d wager even you did not anticipate. The amount of intelligence and poise that she possesses has been very apparent in all of her interviews to date. Particularly highlighted in my opinion has been her ability to think quickly on her feet. I truly believe that you have done our country a great service, and I think Sarah Palin has made—and will continue to make—an extremely satisfying impact on your campaign. In my mind, it is difficult to imagine a person better suited to the task of ensuring that the correct person is elected into office on November 4th than Governor Sarah Palin, of Wasilla, AK. I look forward to her debate with Senator Biden on Thursday.

Sincerely,
Katie
