If you watch Lost and didn’t see tonight’s episode, you might want to skip this post. Because Lost tonight was FUCKING AMAZING!!! Honestly, Damon and Carlton could kill off everyone on the island (esp Jack, Kate, and Sawyer) and as long as they keep Des and Penny, I’d be a happy girl. Okay, don’t kill off Sawyer. Or Kate. Fine, or Jack. But for reals, Desmond and Sayid are keeping this story moving.

I’m kind of bummed that they seem to have dropped Juliet out of the Jater/Skater love quadrangle. She was really the only one in that situation that made their relationships seem interesting. So much has happened in these first few episodes, though, and there’s been less character-driven eps than I would have liked. All the same, I love the new characters, even if their respective literary referential names are a little heavy-handed.

If I didn’t love the show so much I’d accuse the execs of nefarious purposes; this season is turning out to be so complex that it’s really best understood on DVD. Even though there are supposedly 3 more seasons left (including this one) I’m starting to see that the writers really are attempting to tie some strings together. I can’t wait until the entire story is set and told, and I can watch the whole entity of Lost together.
