As much as I promised myself that I wouldn’t lose interest in blogging, I kind of lost interest in blogging there for a bit. And considering my desire to renew my passion for writing, it’s not a great sign. I’ve got a nasty cold that Natalie assures me I got from her, and also we just got cable installed, so there’s that too. Excuses, excuses.

Things at home are pretty much what I expected. I’m having a lot of fun with the twins, though. They’re these independent, walking, talking, thinking people with senses of humor and it freaks me out sometimes. They’re only 7, and already I can feel tugs of a sibling-type relationship that I never had with them before. It was always more of a parental relationship more than anything else. But now that they can make decisions for themselves and are starting to become more aware of the world around them—and, more to the point, the people in it—I find we’re forming a tight allegiance.
