It’s almost October, which means voter registration deadlines are approaching. Even if you’re not planning to vote, or you don’t know who you want to vote for, go ahead and register and keep your options open. I wasn’t able to find state-by-state deadlines for voter registration, so I thought I’d put all the dates here. Find your state and make sure you get the registration card in by the deadline. Most states have forms you can print out online and mail in, some states even allow you to complete the entire process online.
And if you’re still deciding, there’s tons of information about the candidates and their positions online. The speeches (including convention speeches) are on youtube; the transcripts are everywhere. For a simple breakdown by topic, my favorite is on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/issues/
Please please please register, and on November 4th, go out and VOTE.
