Saturday night and Madison is quickly being covered in ice. I was supposed to work today— first at WARF and then later tonight at RENT at the Overture Center, but it’s pretty hazardous outside. I went into work this morning before the snow started, and within 2 hours about an inch and a half of snow had already fallen. Michele gave me the okay to head home, and soon after, the Corolla and I slid into the parking garage (safe!) with only a handful of oh-shit moments.
Now, after spending the last few days home sick, I’m just about exploding with stir craziness. I’m all caught up on watching tv on the internet (damn you writers’ strike!) and I’m in between netflix movies. I’m reading Jon Krakauer’s Into Thin Air, which is a good book, but for some reason keeps reminding me of how flipping cold it is outside. Also, I hate football season. I’m sorry, but I just do. I can watch baseball and I love watching basketball, but football doesn’t do it for me. So I’m SUPER bored and don’t have a lick of candy or beer in the apartment.
I guess it’s time for whiskey shots.
